5 MLS stars who could play in the Premier League

With the English domestic season finished and the rumours of possible transfers rife. We take a look at five Major League Soccer stars who could play in the Premier League.

1. Federico Higuain

The 29 year-old has to be the classiest player in MLS, mainly down to his almost effortlessly weighted passes that seem to always provide chances for his teammates.

Higuain, brother of Gonzalo, possesses the quality and composure on the ball that a few EPL teams could use going forward.

2. Dom Dwyer

The in-form Englishman has been receiving rave reviews so far this season, as he has ten goals in eleven games so far.

He had to travel across the pond to make his big break, but could a move back be on the cards?

If he continues his fine displays for Sporting Kansas City, big clubs from the Premier League may swoop.

3. Bill Hamid

Another key player from DC that we believe could succeed the other side of the Atlantic.

And the Premier League has a long standing love affair with American ‘keepers. With the two stand-out USMNT goalkeepers Tim Howard and Brad Guzan currently between the sticks at Everton and Villa respectively.

Brad Friedel is another notable name, and at just 23-years-old Hamid certainly has a bright future ahead of him.

4. Fabian Espindola

Espindola has been the man to watch for DC United of late, and having come off the bench against New England at the weekend, he still managed to grab a goal.

With his slick passing and creative instincts, he could do a great job supplying a good finisher, as well as scoring a few himself. He has Premier League pedigree.

5. Lee Nguyen

Nguyen possesses the innate talent to treasure the football, rarely giving it away or forcing a pass. Much like Luka Modric, he looks at home with the ball at his feet.

He’s already scored five goals this season playing in a midfield role, with a few from the penalty spot, and his defensive capabilities just as impressive as his attacking insticts, Nguyen would be an asset to any team.
