DeAndre Yedlin has joined Spurs from the Seattle Sounders for around $4 million on a four-year deal and the promising youngster will have the chance to impress in the Premier League as a result.
Though that won’t be until the end of the current MLS season at the earliest as he will remain in Seattle until the current campaign comes to a close.
Yedlin made a name for himself at the World Cup this summer and has been linked with a move to Europe for much of the summer as a result, with AS Roma another club that were interested in his services.
Tottenham have won the race however, and the 21-year-old joins the club at the perfect time as new manager Mauricio Pochettino is building a young and talented side for the future.
“I’m very excited to come to the Premier League and challenge myself against some of the best players in the world,” Yedlin said, speaking to Spurs’ official website.
The exciting move for Yedlin has seen plenty of reaction across the US, with various USMNT stars wishing the player luck for the next stage of his career.
