San Jose Earthquakes host Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night, looking to end a 13-game winless run against their Western Conference rivals.
The Whitecaps are currently occupying the fifth and final playoff spot in the conference, and know that victory against the Earthquakes will ensure that they go into the final game of the season in a playoff position.

San Jose have lost their last three, but are slightly better at home and have earned a point in two of their last three and will look for a win to get off the bottom of the table before the end of the campaign.
Vancouver’s impressive victory in Seattle last weekend earned them the Cascadia Cup and they will be confident of picking up all three points once again on Saturday night.
Portland play Real Salt Lake on Friday night, and if the Timbers lose that game, the Whitecaps can wrap up a playoff spot with victory.
Plenty of football is yet to be played, and excitement looks to be a certainty, though everything is pointing towards a Vancouver win in this one.
Key player: Pedro Morales: The playmaker has the ability to unlock any defence, and is a danger from set-pieces. He will look to add his 10 MLS goals this season.
