But it’s Liverpool who are now ready to bring Ochoa to England in deal that Rodgers will hope can shore up a leaky defence that has kept just four clean sheets in 16 games.
It would mean that Mignolet would likely be out the door at Anfield as he will want to be playing first-team football on a regular basis.
