VIDEO: Kaka nets his first goal for Orlando City in 4-0 win

Brazilian star Kaka scored his first goal in an Orlando City SC shirt today as the Lions beat FC Dallas 4-0 in a preseason friendly in Florida.

The 32-year-old wore the captain’s armband for his first runout with Orlando and he played a key role in helping the side win as he pitched in with a goal and an assist.

He helped create Martin Paterson’s goal before the Northern Irish striker then returned the favour as he was brought down in the box, allowing Kaka to step up and convert his first goal in purple.

Orlando began their preseason preparations ahead of their inaugural MLS season with a 1-1 draw against DC United last Friday and they now look ahead to their third game against fellow expansion franchise New York City FC on February 21.

They will face New York City in the Carolina Challenge Cup before opening their 2015 MLS campaign against the same opposition on March 8.

How important is Kaka to Orlando City’s hopes for the 2015 season?
