MLS Power Rankings: Week 3 – Dallas stay top, Orlando fall

MLS Power Rankings MLS Power Rankings – MLSGB

The third weekend of Major League Soccer action is now behind us after a rather conservative week of action and so it’s time to adjust the Power Rankings.

Four of the league’s more attacking sides were on a bye as Seattle Sounders, Real Salt Lake, Toronto FC and Columbus Crew all had the weekend off.

We only saw 10 goals in the eight games this weekend. FC Dallas remain the only side with a perfect record in MLS as they beat the Philadelphia Union 2-0 and so they remain at the top of our Power Rankings after three weeks.

The New York Red Bulls beat DC United 2-0 on Sunday night and they climbed the rankings into fourth place, with the Vancouver Whitecaps climbing to fifth after a late Octavio Rivero goal earned them a late 1-0 win in Orlando.

The Lions fell eight places in this week’s Power Rankings but will hope to bounce back when they take on the Montreal Impact next weekend.

It’s still early in the season but here’s how the MLSGB Power Rankings look after Week 3:

What do you make of the Power Rankings after Week 3’s action? How long will FC Dallas remain perfect?
