Former DC United star dreams of Arsenal move despite Spurs interest

Honduran winger Andy Najar has offered Arsenal a come and get me plea as he looks to fulfil a dream by playing for the Gunners, despite interest from North London rivals Spurs.

The 22-year-old Anderlecht star scored against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League earlier this season and would love to play for the Gunners.

“I would like to go to English football and have always had a team in England which has been my dream – Arsenal. I keep that in mind,” he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

“When I was little I liked Thierry Henry and I always had this dream of reaching Arsenal.”

Najar made his way into football with MLS side DC United back in 2010 as a 17 year old and went on to make 87 appearances for the club, scoring ten goals before joining Anderlecht in 2013.

The exciting Honduran is nicknamed The Little Warrior and is seen as one of the Belgian league’s best foreign talents.

Arsenal have had Najar on their shortlist since he was in MLS with DC and could sign him for £4 million if Wenger wants to add another attacking option to his side this summer.

North London rivals Spurs are also keen on the youngster and have watched him in action a couple of times this season already.

Najar has already made 20 international appearances for Honduras and is a player with a bright future ahead of him.

Would Andy Najar be a good signing for Arsenal? Will he leave Anderlecht this summer?
