But he has since moved to the city centre in an apartment and is now in discussions to extend his lease on the property for another year, suggesting he will spend at least one more season with Manchester United.
The 27-year-old attacker came on in Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Chelsea but has not started a game since the FA Cup clash with Arsenal in which he was sent off.
United’s loss at Stamford Bridge ended a six-game win streak but the Red Devils have improved as the season has gone on and the club, as well as Di Maria, will hope to kick on further next year.
