Goals exploded into MLS during Week 8 as there were 28 goals in the nine matches over the weekend, equalling an average of 3.1 per game.
Another week of action means another look at our MLS Power Rankings and there was plenty of movement again.
Vancouver Whitecaps remain top but only just after another defeat at home to DC United leaves them with just one win in their last four.
DC have risen to second in this week’s rankings with that win, with New England Revolution in third after winning their fourth in their last five.
At the other end, Montreal Impact remain bottom after another weekend without a game, while expansion sides Orlando City and New York City both fall along with Philadelphia Union, as the bottom five in made up of all Eastern Conference sides.
Toronto rise up after winning 2-0 at Orlando, with Chicago Fire, Colorado Rapids and the Seattle Sounders also climbing the Power Rankings this week.
