Real Madrid superstar wants to play at Arsenal next season – report

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas is keen on a summer move to the Premier League with Arsenal, according to Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol.

The 33-year-old Spanish star has been with Real Madrid for his entire career but speculation about a summer exit continues to mount with two years left on his current deal.

David De Gea is expected to be targeted by Madrid as they look for a new number one shot-stopper to replace the man who has made 720 appearances for the club – the second most in history, only 21 behind Raul.

Casillas has won 18 trophies with Madrid over the course of his career, including three Champions League title and would offer any club vast amount of experience between the sticks.

A move to the Premier League could be on, with Arsenal rumoured to be his prefered destination if Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol is to be believed.

“Iker Casillas is very clear, he wants to go to England at the end of the season,” Pedrerol said on Spanish television, before taking to Twitter to claim he wants to join the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger is expected to make another move for a goalkeeper this summer with Wojciech Szczesny expected to leave the club after falling behind David Ospina in the pecking order.

Would Iker Casillas be a good signing for Arsenal?
