City are set to make major changes to their squad this summer after failing to retain their Premier League title and Manuel Pellegrini sees the left-back spot as a key area that needs improving.
Aleksandar Kolarov is likely to depart with a move back to Italy expected, while Gael Clichy is not seen as the man to take the spot on a regular basis.
That could see City target Spurs defender Danny Rose and a bid of around £15 million could be enough to sign the 24-year-old Englishman.Embed from Getty Images
Rose has enjoyed his best season in a Spurs shirt since joining from Leeds in 2007 as Mauricio Pochettino has helped him to improve dramatically.
Ben Davies was signed last summer from Swansea but Rose’s performances have kept him ahead of Davies in the pecking order.
Rose has made 33 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three times, and could be on the way to City if a £15 million bid is enough to tempt Daniel Levy into selling.
Would Danny Rose be a good signing for Manchester City? How important is he to Spurs?
