Despite those positive results, they still sit at the bottom of the Western Conference and have yet to win at home, with their sole victory coming in that surprise 4-0 away win at FC Dallas.
The chances of beating the Quakes this week are slim too though as Colorado have not beaten San Jose since 2011, a run of ten games without victory has followed since.

A 1-1 draw with Real Salt Lake last Friday was followed by a 1-0 road win at Houston Dynamo on Tuesday night and Dominic Kinnear’s side will be full of confidence ahead of this one.
These two met three times last year, with all three meetings ending in draws, two of which ended scoreless so there is very little to separate the two in what should be a tight game.
Colorado Rapids will be without midfielder Marcelo Sarvas for around four weeks as he recovers from knee surgery, while Marc Burch and Drew Moor remain doubts for the clash. Dillon Powers and Gabriel Torres have been in fine form of late and will look to prove the difference in front of their own fans on Friday night.
San Jose Earthquakes have five injury concerns going into the game as Mark Sherrod, Steven Lenhart, Shaun Francis, Jean-Baptiste Pierazzi and Innocent Emeghara all remain sidelined. Chris Wondolowski looks set to start from midfield again as Adam Jahn starts up top after netting in the 1-0 win at Houston earlier this week.

Key Stat: There have only been three goals in the past four meetings between these two so a goalfest looks unlikely.Embed from Getty Images
Key Player: Gabriel Torres – The attacker has scored four goals this season and has netted all of those in his last five. He looks to be in fine form and will be a threat.
Colorado Rapids 0-0 San Jose Earthquakes – Another draw looks the most likely outcome as these two have now tied in four of their last six. Goals are usually at a premium in these clashes and so this could be a tense, and nervy affair for both sets of supporters.
