MLS Power Rankings: Week 10 – Red Bulls climb as Galaxy fall

Week 10 is over after a full weekend of action and four teams playing twice over the course of the week as there were 32 goals in the 12 games played.

That means it’s time to look at the latest MLSGB Power Rankings before Week 11 comes around on Wednesday night and DC United and Orlando City kickoff the next round’s action.

DC managed to keep their unbeaten streak alive as they drew 1-1 with Sporting Kansas City on Saturday night and they remain at the top of our Power Rankings, alongside the New England Revolution, who also had to settle for a draw.

Just behind them are Eastern Conference rivals New York Red Bulls, who climb to third after an important derby victory against New York City FC on Sunday.

Three Western Conference sides follow them in the shape of Vancouver Whitecaps, FC Dallas and Seattle Sounders, with the Columbus Crew’s victory over Seattle moving them up three places to seventh.

LA Galaxy suffered defeat to Dallas and could only draw with Real Salt Lake last Wednesday and they fall to eighth, having yet to really find any form.

At the other end of the rankings, Montreal remain bottom after losing to Portland 2-1, with Philadelphia Union and New York City both trailing behind after losing again.

Toronto fell behind the Houston Dynamo after the Dynamo’s impressive 2-1 win over the Canadian side in their first home game of the season, but there is a long season ahead and the rankings will continue to change right up to the playoffs.

Here’s how the Power Rankings look after Week 10’s action:
