Another busy weekend of MLS action has given us three more teams that have secured their playoff spots for the 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs.
DC United join Eastern Conference rivals New York Red Bulls in making the postseason, while LA Galaxy and FC Dallas secured their spots this weekend over in the West.
There are just three weeks of the 2015 MLS Regular Season to play and several teams across the league are still fighting for their playoff lives.
The top six in each conference will make the postseason this year but unfortunately for the Philadelphia Union and the Colorado Rapids, their season will end on October 25 as they join the Chicago Fire in being eliminated after disappointing campaigns.
New England Revolution and Columbus Crew only need one more point each to seal their playoff spots in the East, while Toronto need one more win or results to go their way to be certain, though the top five in the Eastern Conference look to be safe.
The real battle will be for the last remaining slot. Montreal Impact currently occupy sixth place, with two games in hand over their chasing rivals Orlando City and New York City FC. That should be enough to see them advance to the postseason but nothing is certain in this game.
Over in the West, things are a little more interesting as seven sides are battling for the last remaining four playoff spots, with just eight points separating third place down to ninth.
There are just three MLS games this week but the battle for the 2015 MLS Playoffs looks set to go down to the wire.
