Manchester United are looking to bolster their midfield options once again this summer with a move for Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez being lined up, according to reports out of Spain.
United have been tracking the versatile midfielder over the course of the season and are willing to offer more than £31 million for the Spaniard, according to Don Balon.
The Real Madrid academy product has been in good form for Atletico this season, making 24 league appearances for Diego Simeone’s side. His current contract runs until 2020 but the 21 year old recently rejected a contract extension, casting his future into doubt.

Although he has yet to make his full international debut, Saul has represented La Roja at Under-16 to Under-21 levels, making a total of 50 appearances.
United currently have a host of central midfield options, but a lack of younger players in the position, with Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger both over the age of 30.
Saul has scored a total of eight goals with two assists in 34 appearances for Atletico across all competitions this term and has become an integral part of the side.
