Competition: Major League Soccer – Seattle Sounders vs. Montreal Impact
Venue: CenturyLink Field – Saturday, April 2 – 22:00 ET (03:00 BST)
Match Odds: Seattle 10/11 – Draw 5/2 – Montreal 3/1
The Sounders have lost all three of their games and are bottom of the Western Conference as a result. They come into this one off the back of their 2-1 home loss against Vancouver and need to pick up quickly.
Sigi Schmid will be more than concerned by this start to the season and will already be feeling intense pressure. His side must pick up their first win as soon as possible otherwise they could be at risk of confidence dropping to rock bottom, while finding themselves in a long run of bad form.
A win here wouldn’t even take Seattle off bottom spot but it’s not all doom and gloom, there is plenty of time to turn things around. But that change needs to happen, otherwise it could become a difficult season for the Sounders faithful to endure.
By contrast, Montreal Impact have had a great start to 2016 and are sitting top of the Eastern Conference after their first three outings.
They won their opening two ties but do come into this one off the back of their 2-0 loss away against FC Dallas.
Mauro Biello will be delighted with his side but their loss last time out shows there is still room for improvement – they will see this as a great chance to continue their good run of form against Seattle, who they have had the better of more often than not.Embed from Getty Images
Seattle will be without Brad Evans, Roman Torres and Erik Friberg once again, while Michael Farfan remains a doubt
Montreal Impact could be without up to six players through injury. Andres Romero, Cameron Porter, Patrice Bernier and Maxime Crepeau are all expected to miss out, while Marco Donadel and Laurent Ciman are both doubtful.

Seattle Sounders 1-2 Montreal Impact – It’s tough to see things drastically improving for Seattle in the short term as they haven’t been good enough in their opening three games. This will be a tight affair but playing against a Montreal side with such attacking quality will be the last thing Seattle need coming into this round of fixtures.
