Venue: Stamford Bridge – Saturday, April 16 – 17:30 BST (12:30 ET)
Match Odds: Chelsea 8/5 – Draw 12/5 – Manchester City 13/8
Chelsea players and fans alike will be relieved when their nightmare season is over, but they still have a job to do and will be looking to end the campaign as strongly as possible. Chelsea come into this one off the back of their 1-0 away loss against Swansea – a performance that epitomised their season as they lacked the required quality once again.
The Blues sit 10th in the Premier League, 14 points behind City in 4th and their inability to find consistent form this season leaves little surprise as to why they trail the top four by such a large margin.
Chelsea won the last meeting between these sides 5-1 in the FA Cup, but the City side was completely tinkered with ahead of that tie and almost all 11 regulars didn’t feature.Embed from Getty Images
Manchester City will be full of confidence heading into this tie having reach their first ever Champions League semifinal in midweek.
There is still work to do domestically for City to ensure they finish in the top four. They are four points ahead of 5th place so they cannot afford anything but wins in their remaining games to secure a top four spot. Their fate is in their own hands.
City’s stars will be looking to atone for the 5-1 drubbing last time out at the Bridge and show Chelsea that they would have progressed in the cup were it not for a weaker side taking to the field.
Manchester City have not won at Stamford Bridge since 2013, though they’ll be expecting to put that run to an end this time around in a battle between two sides with little respect for each other.Embed from Getty Images
Chelsea’s squad is riddled with injuries. Kurt Zouma, Eden Hazard, Loic Remy, John Terry and Nemanja Matic are all expected to miss out, while Gary Cahill and Willian are both doubts. Diego Costa returns from suspension so he will be expecting to start.
Manchester City have just two injury concerns. Raheem Sterling is out while captain Vincent Kompany is still troubled by injury and looks unlikely to feature.

Chelsea 0-2 Manchester City – City to coast through this tie against a Chelsea side who won’t be a match with the Citizens set to take another step towards a much-needed top four finish. The Blues hadn’t lost in the league under Guus Hiddink until last week but they didn’t look anywhere near good enough to take three points and may struggle against a buoyant City team here.
