Seattle endured a tough start to 2016 but have now gone unbeaten through three-straight games and picked up their second consecutive home win by beating the Union on Saturday.
Chad Marshall netted his second in as many weeks before halftime to open the scoring before rookie forward Jordan Morris opened his MLS account later on in the game, much to the delight of the home crowd.
Philadelphia’s cause wasn’t helped when Roland Alberg was sent off on 53 minutes but the visitors did get on the scoresheet when Sebastien Le Toux slotted in on 73 minutes. Though Seattle were able to hold on to seal an important 2-1 home win, moving them up to eighth in the West.
