New York City FC continued their hunt for a first win since opening weekend as they were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Montreal Impact on Wednesday night.

NYCFC ended a two-game losing stint with the draw but they are now winless through seven matches – something Patrick Vieira will undoubtedly be concerned about.

RJ Allen put the home side in front shortly after halftime, but a late Dominic Oduro equaliser saw the points shared, moving Montreal to the top of the Eastern Conference.

New York City moved up to eighth place but will be looking to climb higher than that as the season progresses.
