Toronto will be itching to get back into the swing of things as they lost their last MLS fixture 3-0, away against the Red Bulls.
Greg Vanney’s side have been in action during the international break, playing twice against Montreal in the Canadian Championship. They won the first fixture 4-2 and drew the second 0-0, so will be feeling confident heading into this one.
Toronto sit 5th in the Eastern Conference on 16 points. They trail top spot by seven points and will be looking to get on a strong run of form to close that gap.
LA Galaxy drew their last MLS outing 0-0 at home against SKC, their third draw in their last five regular season games.
Galaxy have also played in the international break, that tie was in the US Open Cup where they were comfortable 4-1 winners.
Bruce Arena’s side currently sit 5th in the Western Conference on 21 points, they also trail top spot by seven but look set to try and close the gap after a promising start to the season.
Toronto have just the one injury concern in their return to MLS. Jozy Altidore is out but Sebastian Giovinco has returned to full fitness. Michael Bradley remains on international duty with US Men’s National Team, who advanced to the semifinals of the Copa America this week.
LA Galaxy have no injury concerns heading into this one, but Gyasi Zardes is also on international duty with USMNT and Robbie Keane is at Euro 2016 with Ireland.
