Spurs preparing £25m DOUBLE swoop for wingers – report

Tottenham are looking to strengthen their squad in the wide areas this summer as moves are being lined up for Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah and Bayer Leverkusen’s Heung-Min Son, according to various reports.

Spurs are set to miss out on Champions League football once again this season and lots of changes are expected to be made over the course of the summer.

Mauricio Pochettino will look to bring in at least one new wide man, though two could be brought in if the latest reports are to be believed.

Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah is being lined up and Spurs will test their London rivals resolve with a move for the Egyptian star who is currently on loan with Fiorentina, according to the Daily Mail.

Salah, 22, played a key part in knocking Spurs out of the Europa League earlier this season and now the Lilywhites want to sign the out of favour Chelsea man, who joined from FC Basel for £11 million just 18 months ago.

Juan Cuadrado’s arrival in January means a return to the Chelsea lineup is highly unlikely for Salah and he could join Spurs for around £10 million if a deal can be negotiated.

As well as Salah, Spurs are being linked with a move for Leverkusen winger Heung-Min Son, who is also a target of Liverpool’s, and will try and sign the South Korean for around £15 million, the Daily Mirror reports.

The 22-year-old has scored 11 goals with three assists in 27 Bundesliga appearances this season for Leverkusen but his performances have led to interest from the Premier League and Spurs will battle Liverpool for his signature.

Both clubs are unlikely to qualify for the Champions League next season and that could be a blow in any pursuit.

If Spurs are to bring in a couple of wide men, current players will have to move on, with Aaron Lennon expected to complete a permanent switch to Everton, while Andros Townsend and Erik Lamela have been linked with summer exits.

Who would be a better signing for Spurs this summer – Heung-Min Son or Mohamed Salah?
