Louis Van Gaal suggests United fans will have to wait for £25m man to shine

Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal, has suggested that the Old Trafford faithful will have to wait for new signing, Memphis Depay to shine.

The highly-rated winger is tipped to become one of the best after yet another impressive season with PSV Eindhoven but Van Gaal, reported by the Express, expects his development to take time.

“I worked with Memphis during last summer’s World Cup with the Netherlands and he has great potential.

“The plan is to help him develop as a player, but we must all be patient. The Premier League is very different from any other league and it will take time for him to fully adapt to the pace and unforgiving nature of football in this country.”

Depay has netted an impressive 22 goals in 30 Eredivisie appearances this season and his performances have filled United fans with enthusiasm.

It is early doors to suggest that the 21-year-old Dutchman can reach the levels of former United superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, but the Portuguese international signed for the Red Devils aged 18.

Ronaldo’s development boomed at United and we could see a similar rise to the top if he is managed in the right way.

Will Depay make an instant impact or will Manchester United fans have to wait to see the best of him?

Chelsea suffer blow as star is open to joining Arsenal or United

Chelsea have suffered a huge blow as Petr Cech‘s agent has revealed his client is open to a move to Arsenal or Manchester United.

Both Arsenal and United are expected to dip into the transfer market for new goalkeepers. Arsene Wenger could seek an upgrade for David Ospina and David de Gea’s Real Madrid saga is still ongoing.

Cech would be a great addition for either club, having won almost every trophy available during his eleven year chelsea career.

Jose Mourinho is hoping to keep hold of his back-up ‘keeper but it appears the decision will be down to owner Roman Abramovich.

Cech still has one season to run on his current contract and if he stays with Chelsea he will more than likely move on for free. If the Premier League champions cash in on the 32-year-old shot stopper it is estimated his services would fetch around £10 million.

Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Besiktas are all reportedly interested in the Czech Republic number one and Mourinho will hope his star will opt for a move away from one of the clubs rivals.

Will Cech leave Chelsea? Will he be allowed to move to one of their rivals?

Liverpool, Arsenal and United handed HUGE boost in chase for French £20m striker

Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their chase of Olympique Lyonnias striker, Alexandre Lacazette.

The 23-year-old Frenchman has netted an impressive 27 league goals in 33 appearances and L’Equipe report that he is not willing to sign a new deal with his current club.

Lacazette is contracted to Lyon until 2018 but his decision not to sign a new deal has filled clubs chasing his services with optimism.

Lyon are desperate to keep hold of their star but will be hard pushed by clubs who are reportedly ready to offer in excess of £20 million for him.

Liverpool are set to up their efforts to sign a new striker this summer as Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert are expected to depart and Daniel Sturridge’s injury woes continue.

Manchester United have been linked with a number of goal-scorers as Louis Van Gaal is to revamp his squad once again in their push for silverware next term.

Arsene Wenger’s side look close to being the complete package and are arguably only a couple of signings away from challenging for the Premier League title, and Lacazette could hold the key for their success.

Will Lacazette be on the move this summer and where is his most likely destination?

United set to HIJACK move for £36m-rated Chelsea target

Manchester United are ready to submit an offer for Lazio’s Felipe Anderson, according to The Express.

United have sent scouts to watch the 22 year old on a number of occasions this season and Chelsea are reportedly also interested in the Brazilian.

Reports suggest that United are readying a £36 million bid for the midfielder who they see as a replacement for flop, Angel Di Maria.

Anderson has scored ten goals in 30 Serie A appearances this season and has played in a key role in Stefano Pioli’s side.

Louis Van Gaal could provide Anderson with more first team football than Chelsea as he is set for another summer revamp of his United squad.

Jose Mourinho has claimed he will be doing ‘a little’ business in the summer transfer window, but with his midfield looking settled, regular playing time seems unlikely for any addition to his squad.

Will Felipe Anderson sign for Manchester United? Do Chelsea need him?

Spurs will not allow another Bale style exit for £45m-rated United target

Tottenham Hotspur are set to reject any attempts Manchester United make to sign their prolific striker, Harry Kane, according to the London Evening Standard.

Kane has impressed this season as he became the first Spurs player to net 30 goals in a campaign since Gary Lineker in 1992.

He picked up the PFA Young Player of the Year award and was a nominee for the senior accolade too, missing out to Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.

United’s reported wish-list of summer targets increases on a daily basis, with Kane one of many forwards they are interested in. With the likes of Edinson Cavani, Karim Benzema and Alexandre Lacazette also being tracked, Kane is in good company after being regarded as one of the top goalscorers in Europe.

Louis Van Gaal’s revamp of his United side is expected to make this a busy transfer period once again and a goalscorer is at the top of his list, with the injury stricken Robin Van Persie and flop, Radamel Falcao, expected to leave the club this summer.

Youth seems to be a popular option for Van Gaal who is clearly looking to build for the future and the signing of Memphis Depay could spur others to follow.

Kane would be an ideal signing for any English club looking for an out-and-out goalscorer as he fits the quota for regulations to have English players in the squad.

Spurs will need to break the trend of selling their best assets if they are to keep hold of Kane, with the likes of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Dimitar Berbatov all having left the club for big money in the past.

It has been another season of disappointment for Spurs fans after once again missing out on Champions League football and losing the League Cup final too. They will need to keep Kane and bring in some new faces to challenge for the top four next season.

Will Spurs be able to keep hold of Harry Kane? Do they need to avoid continually selling their best players?

United handed boost as £80m superstar ‘keen on move’

Manchester United‘s pursuit of Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale has moved a step closer as they prepare a sensational £80 million offer, according to The Express.

Bale has once again come under criticism after his performance last night as Madrid crashed out of the Champions League in their semi-final clash with Juventus.

According to Express Sport, a close family member has said Bale likes the idea of linking up with Louis Van Gaal and a move back to England.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star has found playing for Los Blancos cut-throat business and he has been criticised for most of the season by fans and Spanish media alike for below-par performances. This comes just one season on from Bale and Madrid’s La Decima heroics in the Champions League final of 2014.

The criticism seems harsh on Bale, who has taken the brunt of Madrid’s poor form. He has netted 13 league goals but it is the chances he has missed which have caused the uproar. His shot accuracy is just 46%, according to Squawka.

If a move goes through it will be one of the most sensational transfer sagas of all-time, with Madrid set to recoup almost the full amount they spent when breaking the world-record transfer fee just two seasons ago, when Bale joined from Spurs.

Will Gareth Bale leave Real Madrid this summer and is he being forced out the club? Should United spend £80 million on him?

United dealt HUGE blow as transfer target is set to stay put

Manchester United are looking likely to suffer a setback in their attempts to sign Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne as the defender is set to sign a new deal, according to The Independent.

United have been linked with Clyne for some time now and were favourites to sign the 24-year-old right-back who has just one year left on his current Saints contract.

Louis Van Gaal has not trusted his Brazilian full-back, Rafael, and has opted to play Antonio Valencia for the majority of the season. It now looks like United’s hunt for a top-class right-back is set to continue, with Barcelona’s Dani Alves another name linked.

Clyne has found his footing in the England national side and as a result has attracted attention from the Premier League’s top clubs.

Southampton will be desperate to keep hold of their stars at the end of the season after last summer’s raid which saw them lose many first team players, including left-back, Luke Shaw to United.

The appeal of Champions League action may sway Clyne in to wanting a move to the Red Devils but it seems likely a move is now off the cards, with Southampton’s chief executive Les Reed confident he will stay on the south coast.

“With Clyney it’s been the same as with Jay [Rodriguez], we’ve been talking for quite a while,” Reed told the club’s official website.

“Ronald made a comment that there was a deadline. That deadline was more about getting a response, and that issue has been solved by the fact Nathaniel has changed his agent. We got an immediate response from his new agent.

“That’s not our business, but there was something there slowing things down. That’s all accelerated, I’m in discussions with his agent and those have been very positive.

“We’re at a very good place at the moment in terms of discussions going on and I’m confident again that we will have a resolution to that sooner rather than later,” Reed concluded.

Will Nathaniel Clyne stay at Southampton? Is he the right-back United desperately need?

United CLOSE on £44m-rated South American goal-machine

Manchester United are closing in on Paris Saint Germain’s Edinson Cavani, who is expected to leave the French champions this summer, according to The Express.

Cavani has been forced to play as a wide-man for PSG, second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and is looking to get back to his preferred role as an out-and-out striker even if that means he has to move clubs.

The Uruguayan goal-machine was reportedly close to a summer move to Juventus, but it seems the Italian giants are unwilling to meet his hefty wage demands.

It is understood that Cavani will demand a £5.75 million-a-year salary and Louis Van Gaal’s side are more than capable of giving the striker what he wants.

United flop, Radamel Falcao, is expected to move on this summer and his departure will free up a huge £265,000-a-week in wages for new faces at the club, and Cavani could be a straight swap.

United have been linked with a number of top goalscorers already ahead of this summer transfer window but Cavani could be the most likely to make the move to Old Trafford.

The 28-year-old is rated at £44 million by transfermarkt.co.uk and it is no surprise given his goal output. He has netted a staggering 193 club career goals in 347 appearances. His experience of playing at the top level, including in the Champions League, makes him an ideal candidate for United ahead of their summer rebuild.

Is Edinson Cavani the goalscorer Manchester United need?

Chelsea ready to place £35m bid for United transfer target

Chelsea will be launching a massive £35 million bid for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane within weeks, according to The Metro.

Varane, who has also been on Manchester United‘s radar this season, has attracted interest from Chelsea after another impressive season and Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen to sign his former employee.

The 22-year-old centre-back could be a long-term replacement for club captain John Terry and if Chelsea can secure his services while Terry is still playing he will be taken under the wing of the fan-favourite.

Madrid will not be looking to let Varane go easily but his run in the side could be at an end ahead of next season as Sergio Ramos and Pepe are fully fit. It is reported that they will be looking for £35.8 million for them to allow Varane to depart.

Ramos has been playing in a holding midfield role for Carlo Ancelotti’s side but he is clearly far better suited to his preferred centre-back role, meaning Varane is unable to nail down a regular starting spot.

Chelsea could have a potential long-term French centre-half partnership if Varane joins. He would link up will compatriot Kurt Zouma, who has impressed since signing for the Blues.

Do Chelsea need Raphael Varane and will he leave Real Madrid this summer?

Arsenal, Liverpool and United dealt HUGE blow in pursuit of World Cup winner

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of World Cup winner, Sami Khedira, as the Express are reporting he has opened contract talks with Bundesliga side Schalke 04.

Khedira has long been reported to be on the way out of Real Madrid when his contract expires this summer and has been a target for some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

But according to the Express, he has opened talks with Bundesliga outfit, Schalke ahead of a possible move back to his homeland.

Khedira’s midfield anchoring abilities are on par with some of the best in Europe and he would be a great asset for any club chasing his services.

The World Cup winner has made 161 appearances for Madrid, but after an injury-hit season it is looking likely that he will be plying his trade somewhere else next campaign, as a new offer is not set to be put on the table.

The 28-year-old German star is hitting the peak of his career and his next club could be decided sooner rather than later.

Will Sami Khedira snub Premier League offers this summer to join Schalke? Where should he go?
